The Earth Lab at University of Colorado, Boulder publishes free and open earth data science textbooks and courses as open education resources, to promote reproducible science and programming. Modules of the courses can be followed separately and cover different data science tools (e.g. Learn about using core data science tools including Python and R programming, Git, GitHub, Bash), as well as Earth Science specific topics such as GIS and remote sensing data (MODIS, Landsat) and vector and raster file formats.
