Overview The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) has been offering its students the "Laboratory for Applied Machine Learning Algorithms" - LAMA for short - since 2019. Developed at the Institute for Technology and Information Processing (ITIV), this course conveys the basics of machine learning and encourages students to implement these competencies in application-oriented projects. Because of its creative and practice-oriented teaching concept, LAMA was awarded the teaching award of the KIT Faculty for Electrical Engineering and Information Technology in 2020.
